Terps kicker Brad Craddock makes Groza Award watch list

Maryland kicker Brad Craddock was named to the Lou Groza Award watch list Thursday by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission. The rising senior won the honor, which is given to the top college football kicker in the nation, last year.

Craddock is looking to join current Oakland Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski, who won in 1998 and 1999, as the second repeat winner since the award was established in 1992.

Last season, the Australia native went 18-for-19 on field-goal attempts, missing only on his final attempt. Craddock’s 94.7 percent success rate set a school record along with his 57-year field goal against Ohio State.
