Former Maryland basketball players are beginning to find their own out in the NBA. Jake Layman of the Minnesota Timberwolves had a great week, scoring 16 points in back-to-back games with impressive shooting percentages. The forward has emerged as a top talent off the bench for the T-Wolves.
Kevin Huerter had his best week of the season, but then went down with a shoulder injury, for which the timetable is still uncertain. Alex Len had his best game of the year, and it was when he came off the bench. Bruno Fernando has played extremely solid minutes and is making a case to start at center.
