Week 7 of the NFL season has come and gone, and with it, one Maryland football alum came through again for his new team.
Playing under the lights on Monday Night Football, the Arizona Cardinals and kicker Chad Ryland were down one point to the visiting Los Angeles Chargers just after the 2-minute warning.
On the game’s final possession, quarterback Kyler Murray and the Cardinals drove the ball 56 yards down the field, setting up Ryland for his only field goal attempt of the night with just 2 seconds left.
In his first home game with Arizona, Ryland nailed the 32-yard try, sending State Farm Stadium into a frenzy with his second-career walk-off field goal.
