Terps in the NFL: Moore and Okonkwo remain top receiving targets

Week 17 of the NFL regular season included multiple former Maryland football players leading their respective team in receptions.

Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore paced Chicago in the team’s lackluster effort on Thursday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks. In a 6-3 home loss, Moore caught six of his eight targets for 54 yards, all game-highs in the defense-heavy matchup. Thursday’s game was the third time in four weeks Moore led the Bears in catches.

Tight end Chig Okonkwo was a top target in the Tennessee Titans’ 20-13 loss at the Jacksonville Jaguars. Okonkwo led all Titans with seven targets, making five catches for 42 yards.
