Maryland has officially added Virginia Tech transfer Melvin Keihn and Towson transfer Daniel Sutton to its roster, coach Randy Edsall announced in a release Friday.
Keihn and Sutton will sit out this season due to NCAA transfer eligibility rules and be eligible for the 2016 season as redshirt sophomores.
"We are excited to welcome Melvin and Daniel to the Maryland football program," Edsall said in a statement. "Melvin has strong local ties to the area and it's great he will be continuing to play football and further his education in College Park."
Keihn, a defensive end, was granted his release from Virginia Tech last week and announced he was transferring to Maryland on Twitter on Tuesday night.
