Team USA defeated Venezuela 85-62 in the preliminary round of the 2015 Pan-American games.
What finished as 23-point victory for Team USA started in gruesome fashion.
Guard play was sloppy, and Maryland's scoring sensation Melo Trimble was noticeably out of his comfort zone in his first minutes of Pan-Am play.
In less than two minutes in the first quarter, Trimble committed two fouls, tripped over his own feet a few times, and had the ball stripped from him before taking a seat.
Recovering from his first stint, he scored 3 points in the second quarter on a left-handed layup and and free throw on separate possessions.
