Dez Wells will be in training camp with the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder, according to media reports.
Wells' agent, Lance Young, told CSNwashington.com on Friday that his client signed a "make-good" contract with the Thunder. If he doesn't make the NBA team, the Thunder could send him to the NBA Developmental League.
Oklahoma City has NBA All-Stars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook and a new coach in Billy Donovan, the former Florida coach. The Thunder went 45-37 last season and failed to make the playoffs as Durant missed much of last season because of injury.
Wells, the former Maryland star, suffered a dislocated right thumb at a summer league team practice with the Washington Wizards in early July.
