As Maryland freshman Diamond Stone kept retweeting a report from Cleveland.com Monday that he planned to forego his remaining eligibility to enter the 2016 NBA draft, the player's father said that a final decision has yet to be made.
In an interview with The Baltimore Sun, Robert Stone said that he and his wife, Cynthia, have been in constant communication with their 19-year-old son since the Terps ended their season with a 79-63 defeat to top-seeded Kansas on March 25 in Louisville, Ky.
"We've been talking about it daily," the elder Stone said Monday night, a few hours after the report surfaced.
