After Gonzaga or North Carolina wins the NCAA Championship tonight, CBS will air “One Shining Moment.” Maybe Maryland will appear in that montage, or maybe not.
So while we all wait to see who comes out on top, here’s the “One Shining Moment” from 2002, when the Terps took home the title:
Saturday marked the 15th anniversary of Maryland’s only national title. The school honored that team at halftime in its loss to Iowa on Feb. 25.
Juan Dixon was the team’s most famous player at the time, though Steve Blake ended up with the squad’s lengthiest NBA career.
