Saturday’s performance was too little, too late.
On Sunday, the University of Maryland announced in a press release that coach Randy Edsall has been fired. Offensive coordinator Mike Locksley will serve as the team’s interim head coach.
“We appreciate Randy’s tireless commitment to the University of Maryland,” said athletic director Kevin Anderson. “This was a difficult decision, but ultimately this is the best course of action for our football program moving forward.”
Assistant head coach/outside linebackers coach Lyndon Johnson was also relieved of his duties.
