Postgame: Maryland receives ‘a wake-up call’ in win over Penn State

Maryland Coach Mark Turgeon wasn’t chipper following Wednesday night’s 70-64 win over Penn State. He stepped to the podium at the Xfinity Center and almost immediately, in a somber tone, told reporters that he didn’t do enough to prepare his team for the Big Ten opener. Even after a historical performance from Diamond Stone, Turgeon and his team wouldn’t allow themselves to revel in the fact that they still have never lost a Big Ten game at the Xfinity Center.
