The Maryland football program's head coaching search certainly appears to be barreling toward a conclusion. Sometime soon - though we don't know exactly when - Maryland athletic director Kevin Anderson will announce a new hire as the team's 36th head coach. Some fans will like it, and some fans won't.
We've done this before, but only at the outset of the search, shortly after Maryland fired Randy Edsall. It's time for an update.
Based on some actual reporting and some general sense of things, we think Maryland's next coach is going to be one of these seven men, barring a surprising late development.
