A Maryland spokesman said Wednesday that there has been no discussion of postponing or rescheduling Saturday night’s Big Ten football opener vs. No. 22 Michigan at Byrd Stadium because of potentially inclement weather in the Washington area caused by Hurricane Joaquin.

Forecasts have caused the Big Ten Network to scuttle plans to broadcast its pregame studio show from College Park. The network will broadcast the game, however, which is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. Saturday, Maryland’s only prime-time appearance this season.
