Behind Emma Rissinger's first career multi-goal game, No. 9 Maryland field hockey defeated No. 20 Princeton 3-0. Rissinger, a redshirt junior, scored her third and fourth goals of the season to give Maryland a 2-0 lead. The first goal came in the 17th minute off an assist from sophomore Lein Holsboer, who wasn't done getting involved in the offense. Holsboer scored her third goal of the season with 10 minutes left in the game, putting the game out of reach.
The defense held Princeton (2-4) to just five shots, helping freshman goalie Sarah Holliday record her first career shutout.
