No. 6 Maryland women’s lacrosse entered Thursday night’s game against Oregon in desperate need of a win. The Terps were coming off an embarrassing 12-goal loss to No. 3 Northwestern — its largest margin of defeat in four seasons.
Luckily for Maryland, the Ducks posed little threat of an upset, as the Terps took a swift four-goal lead en route to a comfortable 16-4 win over Oregon in College Park — the same score the Wildcats beat them by last week.
Midfielder Kori Edmondson was the driving force behind Maryland’s prolific offensive day, tying a career high with four goals on six shots.
