In a postseason chapter of one of college soccer’s most historic rivalries between preeminent programs on both coasts — a matchup Maryland men’s soccer head coach Sasho Cirovski said has a lot of “pride” behind it — his team suffered its worst loss since at least 1999.

The Bruins trounced the Terps, 6-0, with six different goal scorers finding the net.

The first half was uneventful for both sides — until it wasn’t. The first 30 minutes of game time passed without a shot on target.

Both teams had spells of possession with UCLA looking more comfortable, but only marginally so.
