Maryland’s preseason men's basketball schedule will include a secret scrimmage Oct. 31 at Villanova, a source with knowledge of the game confirmed.
It will be a matchup of two teams expected to be in the top 10 when the regular season begins. The Terps were ranked No. 3 last week in the USA Today coaches’ poll and the Wildcats came in at No. 9.
It will be a rematch of a similar scrimmage held three years ago in College Park, rumored to have gone into overtime and won by Maryland on a 3-point shot at the buzzer by former Maryland star Dez Wells.
