With a hurricane possibly approaching and unrelated storms bringing swirling winds and lower temperatures to the Maryland football team's game against No. 22 Michigan on Saturday, the Terps and Wolverines prepared to face miserable elements in their Big Ten Conference opener.
Michigan (4-1, 1-0) managed to escape the muck and string together some big gains. Maryland (2-3, 0-1), though, was stuck and unable to put together any sort of offense in a 28-0 defeat before an announced 51,802 at Byrd Stadium.
It was Maryland's first shutout loss since its 63-0 loss to then-No. 8 Florida State on Oct.
