If the Maryland men's basketball team can beat Hawaii in a game on Sunday night, the Terps' Sweet 16 opponent is already locked in. It would be Kansas, the tournament's top overall seed, setting up a game rich with subtext.
Maryland, of course, shouldn't be looking past the Rainbow Warriors. But there's no reason we can't, and it's worth considering what's on Maryland's horizon – if the Terps are to have any horizon at all.
Kansas' Sweet 16 game, as well as the regional final in the Elite Eight, will be in Louisville, Ky.
