When it comes to South Dakota State, a lot of talk surrounds Mike Daum.

While it’s warranted, guard George Marshall brings a wealth of experience.

Prior to his time with South Dakota State, Marshall began his collegiate career in the Big Ten with Wisconsin. The guard came to the Badgers after a stellar high school career at Chicago Brooks College Prep (Ill.)

During his freshman campaign in Madison, Marshall played significant minutes off of coach Bo Ryan’s bench. He averaged 4.1 points-per-game and one assist in 15.8 minutes-per-game for the Badgers.

After just two games the following season, Marshall decided to transfer to South Dakota State where he would receive more ample playing time.
