Three of Maryland basketball's four draft-eligible players were projected to be taken in Thursday night's NBA Draft, but only two were.
Diamond Stone slid further than expected, ending up with the Clippers, who received the No. 40 overall pick from the Pelicans in a trade. Stone was projected to go No. 33 (also to the Clippers) by Draft Express. Jake Layman, Maryland's second player off the board, was also part of a trade. Layman was taken with the No. 47 pick by the Magic, but was part of a deal that sent him to the Trail Blazers.
