Maryland track & field head coach Andrew Valmon introduced the team’s 22 newcomers of men and women on Monday, who are set to make their debut in winter 2021 season.
Of the 10 men who join the team, nine are freshmen, four of which are Maryland natives, while one is a transfer. Mississippi State transfer Brian Evans Jr. holds the indoor personal records on 200m (21.86), 400m (47.52), 500m (1:04.87).
Both Roshaun Rowe and Kobe Simpson join the Terps from Jamaica after running together at Kingston College.
Other notable newcomers on the men’s side include freshman Jeff Kline, who was a three-time track & field team MVP at Fleetwood Area High School in Blandon, Pennsylvania, and Bel Air, Maryland, native Peter Capozzoli who holds the C.
