Maryland women’s basketball head coach Brenda Frese named Karen Blair as the team’s associate head coach Wednesday ahead of the 2020-21 season.
Blair, previously an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator with the Terps, has been instrumental in the team’s success on and off the floor since joining Frese’s staff in 2018. She helped the team secure two five-star recruits in the class of 2019 in Ashley Owusu and Diamond Miller, and landed the highest ranked recruit in program history in Angel Reese.
“Karen is more than deserving of this promotion. From the moment she has stepped foot on our campus, she has made an impact on our program,” Frese said in a release.
