Maryland football’s Week 2 game against Syracuse slated for Saturday, Sept. 7, at noon ET will now be televised on ESPN, according to announcements from both programs.
The battle between the Power 5 teams from the Big Ten and ACC, respectively, was originally up in the air between being scheduled on ESPN2 or the main channel, but the network has decided to showcase the matchup on its biggest platform following the first games of the season. West Virginia’s game against Missouri will now be shown on ESPN2.
While Saturday’s game was already nationally televised, this is just another boost for a Maryland program hoping to garner spotlight and attention for a positive reason.
