Maryland women’s cross country made a strong statement at Saturday’s season opener, winning the Salisbury Fall Classic with a dominant performance.
Rose Coats, Eva Rogers and Katie Turk led the way for the Terps, finishing first, second and third, respectively.
Maryland easily clinched first place with 24 points, outpacing second-place Johns Hopkins, which scored 53 points, and third-place Seton Hall with 85 points.
Katie Altieri and Emma Lorey rounded out the Terps’ top five, finishing 7th and 11th, respectively. Coats, Turk and Lorey all recorded personal-best times in the 6k race.
