Maryland men’s lacrosse earned a commitment from class of 2026 faceoff specialist Luke Gouse, it was reported Tuesday.
Gouse, a 3-star prospect according to Inside Lacrosse, attends West Morris Central in Chester, N.J. He also plays club for Building Blocks Lacrosse Elite.
In his sophomore season, the 6-foot-2 faceoff specialist notched 23 goals, tallied eight assists, scooped up 34 ground balls and posted a 71% faceoff win percentage.
As Terps’ previous faceoff specialist Luke Wierman is no longer with the team, head coach John Tillman is dipping into the pool of recruits in an attempt to find a future successor.
