MM 8.7: Mike Locksley forms National Coalition of Minority Football Coaches

Maryland football head coach Mike Locksley announced the launch of the National Coalition of Minority Football Coaches, a group focused on helping minorities climb the coaching ranks, Thursday.

There is an overwhelming lack of diversity in leadership across collegiate athletics, which I explored in depth for Yahoo Sports earlier this summer. The non-profit organization aims to combat this through a grooming process that will prepare, promote and produce qualified minority coaches.
