Former Maryland women's lacrosse superstar Taylor Cummings was officially crowned as the first-ever Athletes Unlimited champion on Sunday. Cummings accumulated the most points in the Athletes Unlimited league, which has 58 different professionals who compete.
“It’s a huge honor,” Cummings said in a press release. “It’s incredibly humbling, especially when you’re around so many amazing players. To be on amazing teams and around amazing people throughout this season was just so special.”
Cummings, who graduated from Maryland in 2016, played in 15 games and collected 1,943 points in the league, which was 190 points more than the second-place player.
