Former Maryland women’s basketball player Brionna Jones has made the most of her starting role for the Connecticut Sun this season, pouring in another impressive performance Tuesday night.
The center had 15 points (6-of-9 FG) and nine rebounds in the team’s 84-62 win over the Indiana Fever. She’s averaged 14.0 points and 9.7 rebounds over her last three contests, as well as career high 12.0 points and 5.8 rebounds per game this season. Additionally, she’s putting up 1.6 steals and 1.3 assists per game.
“She’s showing what we in our locker room know of Bri Jones and what she does internationally,” Curt Miller said after Tuesday’s game.
