Former women’s basketball star Alyssa Thomas helped Team USA win its eighth-consecutive gold medal Sunday in a nail-biting 67-66 win over France.
Thomas played 10 minutes off the bench, recording just one point, one assist and two rebounds.
Thomas, who played for Maryland from 2010-14, became the second former Terp to earn a gold medal in Paris after Thea LaFond won gold in triple jump representing Dominica.
