With the 2024 Paris Olympic Games set to commence on July 26, the list of Maryland athletes competing is now nearly finalized. The Terps will showcase a mix of current and former talent as they face off against the world’s best in various events.
Leading the pack is current WNBA star Alyssa Thomas, representing Team USA in basketball. This will be Thomas’s first Olympic appearance, making her the first Terp to compete in Olympic basketball since Vicky Bullett in 1992.
Remarkably, four Maryland field hockey players have been selected for the USA Olympic team: Leah Crouse, Brooke DeBerdine, Emma DeBerdine, and Kelee Lepage.
