Maryland Athletics released data Tuesday for its batch of COVID-19 tests conducted on July 21, and there were no positive results among the 192 student-athletes and personnel tested.
The athletic department is working alongside the state, county and university health office in order to assure a safe environment for Maryland student-athletes in preparation for the fall season.
Tuesday’s results came from the school’s fourth round of testing, the first of which took place in June. Out of 737 total tests on athletic personnel, there have been 12 positive results.
The first nine individuals who tested positive were in the July 7-8 test, while the following three came in the test conducted on July 14-15.
