Maryland football wide receiver Dontay Demus Jr. was chosen for the Biletnikoff Award watch list, which notes the country’s most outstanding collegiate receiver. Demus Jr. was named to the watch list by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, the program announced Thursday.
The Washington D.C. native led the Terps in receiving yards, receptions and receiving touchdowns last season. Demus Jr.’s strong junior season granted him a 2020 All-Big Ten selection.
Despite D.J. Moore being named to the watch list midseason in 2017, Demus Jr. is the first Terp to be listed as a preseason Biletnikoff watch list selection since Stefon Diggs, who was named to the list back in 2013 and 2014.
