Maryland basketball’s Chol Marial clearly looks to have been working on his game since this past NCAA basketball season was cut short, as the 7’2 center showed serious signs of improvement in an open run scrimmage in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday.
In the highlight reel cut up by Ballislife, Marial is seen swatting shots out of the air and throwing down thunderous dunks, while also showing off an improved handle and outside shot. Among some of the notable participants in the scrimmage were 2014 Pac-12 Player of the Year Nick Johnson, as well as 2021 Maryland target and Marial’s former teammate high school teammate TyTy Washington.
