Maryland women’s golf’s season came to a close on Wednesday, as the Terps bowed out in the NCAA Regionals in Bryan, Texas.
Maryland finished with a score of 892 (302-294-296), good for ninth place in a 12-team pool. Sophomore Nicha Kanpai led the Terps and tied for 24th with a score of 221, just five-over-par.
Two fifth-years, Maria Vittoria Corbi and Virginia Bossi, and senior Patricie Mackova closed out their careers on Wednesday. Mackova was stellar this season for the Terps, garnering All-Big Ten first team honors for the third straight season. She tied for 28th at the Regionals and has posted three of the top five scoring averages in program history.
