Maryland women’s basketball filled its final open roster spot on Friday, grabbing Virginia guard/forward Mir McLean from the transfer portal.

The 5-foot-11 junior did not play during the 2023-24 season due to injury. However, she was exceptional in her 26 games played with the Cavaliers, posting 11.8 points and 9 rebounds per game. She also recorded seven triple-doubles.
Prior to her time at Virginia, McLean spent her freshman and part of her sophomore campaign at UConn.
