Maryland men’s basketball picked up a commitment from transfer forward Simon Wright Monday.
In his career at Elon, Wright saw action in 110 games with 35 starts. His best season came as a junior during 2019-20, where Wright averaged 6.8 points and 4.9 rebounds per game across 24 minutes per game. In his senior season, Wright averaged 5.1 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.
At 6-foot-7, 213 pounds, Wright can serve as a depth piece in the frontcourt with some ability to play a stretch four position, shooting 35.5% from three-point range across his career.
