Five Maryland baseball players took home Big Ten honors, the conference announced on Tuesday. Eddie Hacopian and Sam Hojnar received first-team honors, Logan Berrier and Chris Hacopian earned second-team nods and Jacob Orr won Maryland’s Sportsmanship Award. Chris Hacopian was also named to the all-freshman team.
Starting in all 56 games for the Terps at first base, Eddie Hacopian led the team in batting average (.377), hits (83), runs (53), stolen bases (6) and walks (56) this year. His .377 batting average was also the third-highest in the Big Ten.
Hojnar was Maryland’s premier power hitter this season, leading the team in home runs and RBIs, while posting a .
