Maryland Track & Field announced on Wednesday it will send 10 athletes to NCAA East first round. It’s the most athletes the Terps have sent since 2021.
The requirement to compete in the first round is to receive a top-48 score in the region for each athlete’s respective event. The 10 athletes Maryland is sending are as follows:
Jeff Kline - Shot Put
Kayla Thorpe - Javelin
Jayla Bynum - Shot Put
Mekhi Abbott - Javelin
Andrew Harmon - Hammer
Tolu Akinduro - Triple Jump
Eric Albright - 800m
Morgan Graham - Discus
Anna Coffin - 1500m
Kevin Collins - 200m
The first round, which takes place in Lexington, Kentucky, is set to begin on May 22.
