Maryland men’s basketball lost another member of its 2020-21 roster Thursday, with freshman point guard Aquan Smart announcing that he had entered the transfer portal.
Smart was a 3-star recruit out of the Chicago area who committed to the Terps late in the 2020 recruiting cycle. Smart’s final stat line from his freshman campaign includes appearances off the bench in 22 games 30 points, 20 rebounds and 13 assists.
The Terps added Rhode Island transfer Fatts Russell to the program on April 3, which presumably took away minutes at the point guard position.
