The Big Ten announced Wednesday that Maryland tennis player Selma Cadar was unanimously named to the All-Big Ten team.
Maria Budin was Maryland’s Big Ten sportsmanship award honoree.
This was Cadar’s second career All-Big Ten selection, having previously been honored in 2022. She finished the 2024 regular season with a 9-7 singles record, going 5-4 against conference opponents. Cadar finished 10-7 in doubles matches, having played most of the season alongside Kallista Liu. She was named the conference’s women’s tennis player of the week in March.
Cadar and the sixth-seeded Terps took on Nebraska in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday and lost, 4-2.
