Maryland women’s basketball received a much-needed boost to its frontcourt when Rhode Island transfer Mayé Touré announced her commitment to the Terps Sunday.
Touré is Maryland’s third incoming transfer this cycle, joining guards Sarah Te-Biasu and Kaylene Smikle.
Touré, who stands at 6-foot-2 and hails from France, spent the first four years of her college career with Rhode Island, breaking out as a junior. During that season, she averaged 13.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. She was selected to the All-Atlantic 10 first team and was named the conference’s most improved player.
