Maryland track & field secured 10 top-10 finishes, with a number of all-time performances, in day two of the Virginia Challenge Saturday.
In the women’s 400m, Maya Valmon’s time of 53.76 seconds put her at fifth all-time in the record books. Meanwhile, Sam Payne’s time of 54.26 gave her a sixth-place finish, and was good for seventh all-time.
Tolu Akinduro’s 12.83-meter triple jump was good for fourth all-time in program history. In the 800m, Katie Turk finished in fourth place, and her time of 2 minutes and 9.88 seconds was good for 10th all-time in program history.
