Both the Maryland men’s and women’s basketball teams are gearing up for their respective Big Ten tournaments and now have their seeds set.
With its final game coming as a loss against Penn State 66-61 Sunday night, the men’s basketball team will have the No. 8 seed going into the conference tournament.
Head coach Mark Turgeon’s Terps are set to face Michigan State (15-11), a team they beat 73-55 on Feb. 28, on Thursday 11:30 a.m. A win will put the Terps in a bind though, with top-seeded Michigan (19-3) looming in the quarterfinal.
The women’s basketball team is heading into the conference tournament as the outright winner the Big Ten regular season title.
