No. 5 Maryland women’s lacrosse midfielder Kori Edmondson and goalie JJ Suriano each took home Big Ten weekly honors, the conference announced Tuesday.
Edmondson was named Big Ten Midfielder of the Week after she totaled three goals, an assist, two ground balls and two caused turnovers in Maryland’s 11-5 win over then-No. 12 James Madison Saturday. It was the junior’s third time winning the award.
Suriano earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career following a 13-save game Saturday.
