MM 3.11: Former Maryland running back Jake Funk shines during pro day

Maryland football held its pro day yesterday with former running back Jake Funk looking to impress some NFL teams.

Although the media wasn’t able to attend, Funk shared his stats from the day. Funk said he was told he ran between a 4.43-4.48 second 40-yard dash. He also had a 38-inch vertical jump, which is higher than the likes of Ezekiel Elliott, Derrick Henry and Christian McCaffrey. Additionally, he recorded a 10-foot, 2-inch board jump and had 22 reps of 225 pounds in the bench press.

In Funk’s four-game senior year, he led the Big Ten with 129 rushing yards per game to go along with 8.
