No. 17 Maryland women’s basketball junior guard Kaylene Smikle was named Big Ten Player of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced Monday.
Smikle averaged 28.5 points on 58% shooting from the field and 8.5 rebounds per game in the Terps’ two West Coast wins last week.
She dropped 21 points and a season-high nine rebounds in a 18-point win over Oregon Thursday, before scoring a career-high 36 points — the most by a Terp since 2019 — at Washington Sunday.
