MM 1.6: Defensive lineman DD Holmes transfers to Maryland football

Freshman defensive lineman DD Holmes has transferred to Maryland football from Florida State, the program announced Sunday.

Holmes played in one game for the Seminoles in 2024, playing 16 snaps at defensive end and recording an assisted tackle. Holmes, who stands 6-foot-6 and 255 pounds, was a four-star prospect from Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC, and was the No. 2 recruit in the 2024 class from DC, according to the 247Sports Composite.
