Redshirt sophomore Katie Myers earned First Team All-Big Ten honors on Wednesday, providing Maryland volleyball a silver lining on a forgettable year.
While the Terps as a team struggled, Myers was terrific. After battling injuries for her entire career prior to 2019, she was finally able to put together a full season to great success, establishing herself as one of the top players in the conference.
Myers placed top three in the Big Ten in aces/set (0.39), blocks/set (1.33) and hitting percentage (41.2%) — the only player to do so in the conference.
The middle blocker produced 156 blocks to lead Maryland — a 34 block increase from last season.
