A look at the most recent NCAA Tournament projections tells a simple story: Maryland men’s basketball has work to do if it wants to play postseason basketball, while the Terps women’s squad is comfortably in the bracket with ample chances to bolster its resume.
None of the 32 bracket projections compiled by BracketMatrix.com include the Maryland men’s team, which is unsurprising considering its struggles thus far. Despite currently riding a four-game win streak, the Terps are winless against Quad 1 and 2 competition. Six of their eight wins this season have come against Quad 4 opponents, with two losses to teams in the two lowest quadrants.
